The picture is crappy because I didn't think about doing this 'til there was only one left, but I always want to see pictures of what I'm cooking. I got the recipe here.Soak the wings in the following mixture for a few hours in the fridge...This is what I did:
1:1:1=ratio vinegar, brown sugar, ketchup (try ½ cup of each, add more if needed)
Lay the wing/joints/whatever out in a 9x14 pan neatly side by side and put garlic salt, black pepper, ginger--anything you want on--small sliced tomatoes from garden, odd peppers, orphan garden vegetables.
Add the soaking mixture in globs on top of each and cook for 1 hour at 375.
I put the wings in the glass pan pictured above and sprinkled salt, pepper, garlic and ginger on them. Flipped them over and seasoned them again. In another bowl I mixed the vinegar, brown sugar and ketchup (1 cup of each) and then poured it over the chicken. Put the pan in the fridge for two hours and then put it straight into the oven for an hour. Oh, I did turn the chicken in the pan halfway through cooking. yum.
Sure it tasted really good! I'll have to check if the oven here can make it (it's a microwave/oven thing and all described in Japanese, anyway, hope I'll get to taste it)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing Tanya :)
Monty and I are thinking it has something to do with the vinegar that made them taste so good. I'm sure however you cook them - microwave/oven - they should taste really good! You'll have to add some hot sauce to spice them up. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tip, just feeling hungry now ;)
