'The Unit' CANCELED!

I hate it when they cancel shows I like to watch! I'm just posting small clips I read from an article...
"There’s another casualty on network TV. CBS’ military drama, The Unit, has been cancelled after four seasons on the air."

"Like most of the networks’ actions these days, the decision to renew or cancel came down to finances. CBS had asked for all of its shows to reduce their budgets. The Unit is actually already cheaper to produce than it looks. Shot primarily in Southern California, it costs less than $3 million per episode to produce. That’s about half as expensive as other primetime dramas."

Sammo's Dog Fight

Sammo is about 11 years old and he just received his first major dog fight wound.

Sammo is always trying to get out the front door as soon as it's opened. Yesterday he got out with Jaida and Joey. He was never brought back in, but after only a few minutes I heard some dog scuffle noises. I ran out the door thinking he'd gone after some kids walking by and he comes trotting up to the door from behind the cars. He looked a little scared but I thought it was just because he knew I was mad.

As he started up the front porch I could see that he had some hair missing. Looking a little closer I could see that there was a lot of hair missing.

To make a long story short I got him into the vet first thing the next morning. They shaved the hair around the cut (which made it look even bigger than before) and cleaned it out. Then Kelly (our neighbor is our vet) stapled it up.

While all this was happening Sammo's anal glands started acting up. I seriously thought I was going to throw up right there in the vet room.

Sammo has now stunk up our car and the house because the smell is not going away...solutions anyone? Besides taking him back to the vet.

Darn dog - why do the little dogs always think they are the toughest?!

Joey and Cashews

About two weeks ago Monty came home with a big can of cashews. The girls love them, Monty loves them, and now Joey loves them. He would grab a big handful and stuff them all into this mouth, picking up the pieces that fell on the ground and also stuffing those in his mouth.

We couldn't believe how many he was eating, he just kept coming and getting more handfuls.

Well the next morning Joey was smelling mighty stinky so I opened up his diaper to find a brilliant green mess of WHOLE CASHEWS! It was so disgusting.

I immediately texted Monty saying that "Joey is no longer allowed cashews because he doesn't chew them he just swallows them whole - and I bet you can figure out how I found that out".
