The Arrival of Keira

Dear Keira, you finally had to be forced into this world on May 17, 2012 (two days after your due date)! Your dad was there holding my hand and your Aunt Suzanne was on the phone with me for the 48 minutes it took from almost unbearable to the doctor surprising us with a GIRL! I thought for sure you were a boy, but my kids always seem to change my plans (we should have listened to Misty).  Your cord was wrapped so tight around your neck the doctor had to cut it before you were all the way out, Dad didn't get to do it this time - or give you a bath, or change the first diaper for that matter...
We took you home the next day and FINALLY named you a week later!

10 Months Pregnant

Dear New Baby, today marks our Due Date - May 15th.  According to the ultra sound, and the doctor's calculation, I have been pregnant for 40 weeks / 10 months.  This is the longest I've ever been pregnant, are you ready to come out yet?  I really hope you are not waiting for us to decide on a name - I'll be pregnant for another month, ha!  By the way, did I mention Joey wants to name you Jazbar?  The time is now 10:47am and I have an appointment at 1:45pm - maybe we could just do an early surprise visit??

No I Do It!

Dear Kylan, last night I was laying in bed and you came in crying and crying:
Kylan: drink
Me: Go ask Dad to get you a drink.
(Monty was standing at the door and I asked him to do it)
Monty: Come on Kylan, I'll get you a drink.
Kylan: No, you do it (pointing a little finger at me and still crying)
Me: No, go ask dad.
Kylan: No, you...
This went on for a bit. Finally, I get up (this is after I mowed the lawn and had done nothing more than just hurt my back) So I hobble into the kitchen and Kylan hurries and pushes a chair to the sink, climbs up and yells, "NO, I DO IT!"

Grrrrr...

39 Weeks or 37.5 Weeks

Dear New Baby! According to my May 15th due date, you are due in 5 days (at picture time).  I have never carried any of my other babies this long and in a desperate attempt to jump start labor I mowed the lawn.  It didn't work of course.  I have now given myself a new due date, May 26th - based off my second ultrasound and confirmed by the Doctor.

Alligator

Dear Kylan, yesterday we went to the "underground bridge" (Joey's name) and played in the water. When we got there you saw this thing in the water and immediately said, "ALLIGATOR!"
"ALLIGATOR!"

Joey touching the "alligator"

Kylan saying, "ohhhhh"

I'm outta here!
It ended up being just a vacuum hose. :)

We Need A Fire Drill

Kayla's arm bandage...
Dear Kayla, last night you were watching NCIS with me. Tony was having a flashback where he went into a burning house found a little boy in a closet, was taking him out and he started crying for his sister. When he went to get the sister the roof started to cave in so he had to just take the boy - and you could hear the little sister calling for help. I didn't think anything about it until you broke out crying, "That is the saddest thing ever!" You were really upset about it and cried and cried. I tried my best to comfort you, but my giant, pregnant belly was in the way.  You made me realize that we need to have a fire drill at our house.  When Dad, Jaida and Joey got home you were still crying and had to tell them the story. It really was sad and I'm glad to know that you have a kind heart.

Lazy Comes To Mind

Dear Jaida, this morning I told you not to forget your violin and you said that you didn't want to play the violin anymore.  When I asked why you said, "Because I have to carry it all the way from my school to home."  I really hope we can change your attitude before you get any older, you give up on things way to easy.

Early Mother's Day Gift

Dear Joey, in Sunbeams on Sunday you made me a Mother's Day present. On Monday you couldn't stand it any more and had to give it to me. I asked if you wanted me to open it and you said, "No, I can do it." :)
You told me that Sister Kitteridge made and colored the the rainbow.
Then you showed me the awesome hand print and poem you had done for me.  I love it Joey, thanks!

Sometimes I Just Have To

Eating mac and cheese
Dear Kylan, sometimes you do the funniest things and I just HAVE to take pictures!
