Watch Movies With Kayla

Dear Kayla the butterfly, you are the best to watch movies with.  Last night we were watching The Incredibles. You laugh out loud, vocally get scared, jump up and down with excitement and say off-the-wall comments during any movie and in all the right places.  Thanks for making movies funner to watch! :)

Holy Tantrum!

Dear Joey, I don't know that I have ever been more embarrassed than when we went to the parade today. Everyone was having a great time until it was time to go. Kayla and Kylan sat in the stroller and you wanted IN! You cried and cried and cried and when the light turned green we started to cross. I'm trying not to hit anyone with the stroller and when I look down you are still crying but you're holding onto the stroller, laying down! I am DRAGGING you across the road and of course there are a ton of people around because the parade just got over! I could see people pointing and laughing. I had to push the stroller and hold you up as we walked across the next cross walk. I ended up carrying you on the stroller handle like a sack of potatoes - you crying the entire time. The picture above is when we got back to the van. You just laid yourself on the sidewalk and cried until I picked you up. Have you ever been so horrified that you're speechless?

Happy 8th Birthday Miss Kayla

Dear Miss Kayla, Happy Birthday! (on the 20th) We had tons of fun in Vegas celebrating your birthday. You guys played at the Children's Museum for about 5 hours and when I asked what your favorite thing you did there you said, "The elevator." On the way to the museum we were looking for a McDonald's and after listening to Dad yell over and over at the GPS you finally asked, "Dad, is this your worst vacation ever? I've kind of lost my appetite, can we just go to the museum?" Hahaha, hilarious! We went swimming, walked through the casino to eat at their buffet, ran around like crazies in the hotel rooms and finally went to Chuck E. Cheese. I hope you had a great time and will remember more than just the elevator.

Goats, GoNaughts and Fawfights

Dear Kylan, you are at that age where you say the funniest things.  The other night we were playing with a flashlight that makes a ghost. You kept saying, "Get the goat, get the goat!" I was laughing so hard. :)
You say gonaughts (polka dots), fawfights (flashlight) and ear muffins (earmuffs).  Ah, I need funny stuff like this everyday!

Shake

Dear Kylan, yesterday I was doing dog tricks with all of you (for raisins of all things).  I said to you, "Shake!" You started shaking your whole body.  We all thought it was pretty hilarious! :)

Keira 5-Months Old

Dear Keira, Jaida and I were trying to feed you avocado this morning but you didn't really like it and this was the result.  You are smiling more and more, you are starting to reach out and grab things (especially hair) and you can roll around the living room like crazy. I leave you in one spot and come back to find you across the room. You have no bed right now. I had to stop putting you in your car seat when I would find you in the middle of the night on your belly with your legs out of the car seat and the rest of you in. You are a super happy baby that just goes with the flow, thank goodness you can just adapt to any schedule we're on for the day. Your feet can completely touch the floor in the walker, which they couldn't just a couple of weeks ago. We all love your big giant eyes!

Oh No! The Big 4-0!

Dear Monty, can you believe it?  And I've known you almost half that time! Today was one of the funnest birthday's I've ever had for you! Blowing up one hundred balloons, painting your car windows at work (with the kids before school), reading all the "over the hill" signs Misty made. Seeing all the funny stuff Misty took to your work and watching you blow out 40 candles in one breath - the kids were really impressed with that. Happy Birthday and here's to 20 more years. ;) Love you more than cookie sheet cake. lol!

Sunday Walk

After a great game of "yes/no" with the dvds, we finally decided on Treasure Planet.When that was over Joey wanted to go on a walk so that's what we did. The sun was setting so ALL of my pictures are blurry!

How Does It Do That?

Dear Joey, the other morning you said, "Mom! Look at all these black things on my legs! Its growing hair! How does it do that?!"

I have never heard the term, but is there something about four and a half year-olds being pests?  Right now you absolutely love teasing and tormenting everyone. And if you can make them cry? BONUS POINTS! However, you still get a streak of sweetness when you share your toys, help me make cookies or play with Kylan and Keira.

That's Not Chapstick

Dear Kylan, tonight I turned around and you were running a glue stick across your lips like chapstick!  I said, "Kylan!  That's not chapstick, its a glue stick! You're going to glue your lips together!"  You kind of gave me a scared look and I told you to open your mouth. When you did I said, "Oh they're not glued together, you're okay." I guess Joey didn't believe me because he went and got a wet rag and wiped the glue stick off your lips, hahaha.  What a great brother!

Keira Gettin' Mobile

Dear Keira, when you woke up this morning at 4am guess who I found wedged beside you?  The CAT! I also had to suction your nose which made you WIDE awake!  I laid you on the bed and watched you roll from front to back and side to side.  When you would lay on your tummy you would move your legs like you were trying to crawl. I have a feeling you're going to be a really fast crawler and walker.  You're also pretty noise and I think love to listen to yourself make noises.  We put your hair in little pig tails for the first time, so cute! Oh and those scratches on your face? You did those, I had really cut your fingernails down this morning. I almost forgot, yesterday I started holding you on my hip.  You're still a little uncoordinated sitting like that, but man you are getting mobile F-A-S-T!

Baloop Baloops

Dear Kylan, you are one funny kid!  Right now you are saying things like baloop, baloops, instead of fruit loops. I told you the other day that you were a stinker winker and you said, "I not a winker winker." Misty was trying to get you to say yellow. You could say "yeh" and "low" but would only say, "lello", hahaha, that was funny to watch. You were saying something else really funny yesterday but of course I've already forgotten what it was...

Dear Mom

Dear Jaida, a couple of mornings ago you wrote something in notepad and told me not to look.  I waited TWO days without looking and I think you forgot about it, so I peeked.  This is what you wrote.

       Dear Mom,
            You are awesomeness!!!!!!! I am poopiness.
You like to make food, I like to take food!
         We (most of the time) have lots of fun, until the 24HR day is done.
