Today is the first day of the girls' Christmas break and I am going insane! They don't go back until January 7th or something like that. At first I thought it was going to be great - not having to get them ready in the morning, and being able to play with Joey all day. However after only one day I'm rethinking the long break...can't they take a shorter break and have a longer summer?
I of course am blaming the short temper, lack of patience, and filthy house on being pregnant. Monty, can we please hire a maid?

Kayla Cuts Her Hair Again!

As you all know I work from home. My computer sits in my kitchen so I'm right in the middle of everything and can keep an eye on the kids and still work. However, as I'm sure you've all experienced, we get engrossed in our work and forget to look around for a few minutes. Well this morning after quite a few minutes of not looking at the kids watching a cartoon I turn around to see hair all over the floor. Kayla was sitting in the rocking chair, staring at the tv and cutting away at her hair!
I know I completely over reacted because really, what's done is done. Monty comes rushing out of the bedroom from being woken up by my yelling and we send Kayla to her room. Seriously! Why do kids like to cut their hair? As I ask that question I'm sure I did the same thing when I was little - or at least I know that Tara and Suzanne did. Hahaha!
Kayla's Lost Tooth

Friday the 4th I took Kayla to preschool. Two and a half hours later I pick her up and she says, "Mom, I have loose tooth!" I'm like, "WHAT?!" She just turned five in October - she is way too little to be loosing teeth. Her teacher said she didn't bump it on anything and when Kayla told her it was loose she said, "Don't tell my mom."
Her teacher assured her and the other kids that getting a loose tooth was normal, and also that it was bleeding was okay.
I get Kayla home, fix her a sandwich and five minutes later her tooth falls out. Pretty crazy I thought.
