Jaida's in the Third Grade

Jaida started 3rd Grade today! (August 19). Her teacher is Mrs. Blackner. So far everything has been really good. She loves school and is excited to be going every day. For some reason she really loves peace signs. I have no idea where that came from but it's peaceful, right? It's better than skulls, blah!

She has come home crying twice because of the bus driver. They have a new bus driver this year and she is making them have assigned seats. For all the little girls on the block this has been a MAJOR issue. The other day she came home crying because after they decided who was going to sit with who she remembered that she'd forgotten Kayla. She tried to explain to the bus driver but the bus driver was not sympathetic and Jaida came home sobbing. The very next week she came home crying again. I told her it would be okay and that if she wanted to sit by Kayla I just needed to talk to the bus driver on Kayla's first day.

I'm glad Jaida is so sensitive about it and wants to make sure she sits by Kayla and takes care of her at school.
