The Open House

Jeep, This One's For You...

I told my cousin Jeep that I would have a new blog entry by the end of last week. Well, it's Monday - the beginning of a new week and I'm just getting to this. Better late than never. :)

On Saturday we went to an open house of some friends (also my bosses) who had gotten married in August. We took the family which was quite the chore in itself since Jaida has gotten a mind of her own on what she would like to wear, Kayla is constantly stripping, and Joey just hates getting his clothes changed. We finally got there and were of course warmly welcomed by their families.

They had a large gas "fire place bowl" on their deck and they got out hot dogs for the kids to roast. That was the best thing that could have ever happened to the kids, they loved it! Kayla was having so much fun that even after her hot dog was charred beyond charred she still sat there twirling it around on the roasting stick. In fact she was having so much fun that she peed her pants - and just sat there in it. We didn't find this out until we were leaving.

Jaida roasted two and ate half of one and then ran in and out of the house through their doggy door. Joey was deteremined to get out of the house and was also doing his only little doggy run trying to get out the door - someone caught him everytime.

We had homeade chili, homeade root beer, and of course cake for dessert. It was a great time for the family. I hope Katie and Graydon had as much fun at their open house as we did. :)
