It rained all night, so in the morning it was still cloudy and I don’t think anyone really wanted to leave the house. We didn’t get down to Zion until almost noon. Springdale was packed with cars! Everyone was parking here to take the shuttles in. We told the park rangers we were just going to drive through and luckily found two parking spots at the Visitor’s Center after driving around for a little while. We ate lunch under a bridge – it was nice and quiet – no one was around.

Next we hiked up to the Emerald Pools. Only a few of us made it to the Upper Pool, but it was well worth it – it’s very pretty up there. Jeep and I took turns holding Jaida almost the whole way down. My back hurt so bad that I stayed behind with Grandma and Jaida while everyone else to the Temple of Sinawava hike. For all the walking I did after Jaida we should have took the hike!
It was almost 7pm by the time we got back to our cars. I wanted to stop in Sprindale at all the shops, but no one else wanted to. So we drove home and ate KFC. Everyone left and Monty and I started packing for Moab. We finally left the house about 10:30pm.
Sunday
I bought me some un-maternity clothes this morning. I’m too big for my normal clothes, but feel to small for maternity clothes – I guess only pregnant women will understand that one…?
About an hour after getting to grandma’s house in Moab we headed out for Delicate Arch. The hike wasn’t too hard, but worth every step. It was pretty amazing to stand under that huge arch.
That night we went into all the tourist shops and found a shirt for my cousin Jeep. It said, “Jeep Naked”.
Monday
The guys went golfing, so me, Judy, Jaida, and Grandma Dalton went back to Arches. We went to hiked to Double Arch and Sand Dune Arch – they were nice and short. Jaida could have played in the sand all day at Sand Dune Arch. Then we drove around the rest of the park checking out all the rest of the sites.
