Garden Fresh

We've got a great garden growing this year. This is a picture of the lettuce we're growing. Me and Jaida went out and chopped quite a bit of it to take to the ward party. We made a beautiful salad and right before we headed out the door I tried a piece and about threw up! It was SO bitter!! I was SO disappointed. However about two days later I took it out of the fridge and just before tossing it I took another bite and could not believe the difference in taste. I added a bit more water to the bowl and now the salad tastes great. It's been almost a week since we picked it and it's still nice and crisp.
