I just dropped Kayla off at her first day of preschool, and I am so sad! (sniffle, sniffle) I was up late worrying about sending her, and then kept waking up worrying, and then woke up early worrying! I think Kayla was excited to go to school, but she also kept asking me about the bus. So I think it was the bus she thought she would get to ride on to get to school. I told her teacher that I was so nervous but she assured me everything would be fine - which I'm sure it will be!
Meanwhile Jaida is having the time of her life in kindergarten! The bus is one of the most exciting parts about going! She really likes her teacher, they had a fire drill the other day, and she just loves everything about school. The hardest part for me has been trying to get her to do her simple homework. I spent 30 minutes last night trying to get her to write two lines of lower case a's and two lines of upper case A's. I certainly hope this trend doesn't last long. It takes almost just as long to get her to practice writing her name five times! She is used to writing her name in all caps and gets really stubborn and angry when she has to do it in lower case letters.
Good luck to my little ones in school today!
The kids are growing up so fast! ~Kate
