Two Tickets

I just got my second parking ticket this week! Monday I was a little late and the student parking lot was full. So I parked in one of the empty housing parking lots. I did that all last year, and once the first week of school - no ticket. Well, now you have to have a certain permit and so I got a ticket. Today I put up my sunshade, which covered up my temporary parking pass hanging on my mirror. So I got another ticket. Can they even track me for payment? When I got the pass I didn't have to give any important info like SSN, licence plate #, or even my name. But I'm also pretty sure that if I don't pay (at least the first ticket), it'll catch me sooner or later and be a lot more than $10.

  1. I definitely don't think you should have to pay for the second ticket. Of course, they'll give you a little slap on the wrists and tell you to make sure your parking permit is visible.

As for the other lot and the first ticket, if they've changed it to required a different permit then they should forgive the offense once. Unless they send out a notice saying they're changing policy, then they need to be lenient on new changes at the beginning of the year.
